The SAR9 Compact Gen 3 9mm pistol in black (brand part no. SAR9CG3BL) is the carry-size model of the third-generation striker-fired line from SAR Arms. A forged steel slide rides a 4.1-inch forged steel barrel on a compact polymer frame, and the slide is milled for RMSc-footprint micro red dots. Factory tritium night sights keep the sight picture usable when the light fades, and lightening cuts with aggressive serrations trim weight and give a positive grip on the slide. Two 15-round magazines ship with it. For everyday carry, duty or range days, it is a full-grip compact that still conceals well among semi-auto handguns.

Key Specifications

• Chambering is 9mm, the most widely available defensive and training cartridge.
• The barrel is 4.1 inches of forged steel, long enough for a full sight radius on a carry-size pistol.
• Two 15-round magazines ship with the pistol, so a spare is in the box.
• The slide is optic ready with an RMSc footprint, which accepts leading micro red dots, and adapter plates are available for other footprints.
• The sights are tritium night sights front and rear, built to stay visible in low light.
• The action is striker fired, which gives the same trigger press on every shot.
• The trigger is a flat-face design with a 3.4 to 5.6 pound pull, for a controlled, repeatable break.
• The safeties are a trigger safety and internal safeties, so there is no external lever to manage.
• A Picatinny accessory rail on the frame mounts a compact or full-size weapon light or laser.
• Weight is 26.3 ounces unloaded at 7.2 inches overall length, a manageable size for all-day carry.
