The Ruger Mini Thirty rifle in 7.62x39mm with a black synthetic stock (brand part no. 5854) pairs Ruger’s Mini-14 action with the widely available 7.62x39mm cartridge, in this configuration shipping with two 20-round magazines instead of the standard 5-round magazine. Ruger builds the rifle around a 16.12-inch blued barrel with a 1-in-10-inch twist and six-groove rifling, sighted with an adjustable rear sight and blade front sight, and includes integral scope mounts. Among semi-auto rifles, this Mini Thirty configuration favors shooters who want higher-capacity 7.62x39mm feeding.
