Ruger locks the cylinder into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom for positive alignment, and includes a patented transfer bar mechanism for added security against accidental discharge. A cushioned rubber grip with no exposed metal in the backstrap keeps the revolver comfortable to shoot, and a pinned black ramp front sight pairs with an integral rear sight.
