The Ruger 10/22 Takedown .22 LR rifle in this Davidson’s exclusive configuration puts the classic takedown action in a Flat Dark Earth Magpul Hunter X-22 Backpacker stock (Ruger model no. 32029-RUG). The 16.4-inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for a suppressor or muzzle device, and Ruger fits fiber-optic sights front and rear instead of the plain irons on the standard gun. The Backpacker stock is the reason to choose this version: the barrel and forend half clips onto the buttstock for storage, so the whole rifle packs down and travels as one piece. At 4.4 pounds it is the 10/22 for the truck, the pack and the cabin, and it feeds from the same rotary magazine as every 10/22 made.
