The Rosco Manufacturing Husky 5.56 NATO 11.5-Inch Chrome-Lined AR Barrel (Rosco part no. HSK-115-SOC-556-7-C-CL) is a SOCOM-profile bare barrel built for pistol-length and SBR-length AR builds from Rosco Manufacturing. Machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a phosphate exterior and a chrome-lined bore and chamber, it is built to handle sustained fire without giving up accuracy. The Husky profile carries only a few extra ounces over Rosco’s lighter Bloodline barrel while doing more to fight heat buildup and barrel whip. This is a bare barrel only, with no lower receiver included, and how it is built onto a lower determines whether federal SBR rules apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this barrel come with a lower receiver? No, this is a bare barrel only; no stripped or complete lower receiver is included.

Does an 11.5-inch barrel make my rifle an NFA short-barreled rifle? Not by itself. Putting it on a shouldered rifle lower makes a short-barreled rifle; since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires Form 1 approval or registration for that, but state law still applies, and taking an SBR across state lines needs an approved ATF Form 5320.20.

What twist rate does this barrel use? It is cut with a 1:7 twist, which stabilizes the full range of 5.56/.223 bullet weights including heavier match loads.
