The Rock Island Armory GI 10mm 1911 Pistol, 5-Inch Barrel (brand part no. 57180) from Armscor/Rock Island Armory is a faithful representation of the original US GI combat-issue 1911, built around the powerful 10mm Auto cartridge for hunters and defensive shooters who want serious stopping power in a proven platform. Rock Island Armory finishes the frame and slide in a parkerized matte coating, fits black checkered rubber grips, and machines a ramp-type bull barrel for reliable feeding without a separate barrel bushing. The double-wide serrated, optic-ready slide ships with an optic base adaptor and integrated rear sight cut for a red dot such as the RMSc, along with a cover plate and screw for shooters who prefer to run the pistol with irons only. A full-length guide rod and beavertail grip safety round out a GI-pattern 1911 built for shooters who want traditional 1911 ergonomics with a modern, optic-ready slide.
