The Remington Core-Lokt .338 Winchester Magnum 250-grain Pointed Soft Point (Remington part no. 22191) is a big-game load built around the Core-Lokt bullet that has been in the field since 1939. Remington locks the jacket and the lead core together so the bullet expands in a controlled way, penetrates deeply and keeps its weight. The 250-grain bullet leaves the muzzle at 2660 feet per second with 3927 foot-pounds of energy and a ballistic coefficient of .431, and it still carries 1664 foot-pounds at 500 yards. For elk, moose and other large game at long range, it is a proven choice in a .338 Winchester Magnum.
