The Proof Research Q Fix Pre-Fit Barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor is a 20-inch carbon fiber barrel that arrives chambered and ready for installation (Proof Research part no. 153819). Proof wraps each barrel in high-strength, aerospace-grade carbon fiber impregnated with a proprietary matrix resin, which the company says makes it up to 64 percent lighter than a steel barrel of similar contour. The carbon wrap also improves heat dissipation for cooler, longer-lasting barrels. This is a 1:7.5 twist Fix model with a 5/8-24 muzzle thread, and the barrel extension is included. It comes from Proof Research, which sells it in a pre-fit format.
