The Primos Cow Girl Elk Call is a hand-held cow call built to reproduce the sliding note of a cow elk (Primos part no. 937). It runs as a bite-and-blow call, so the sound comes from air and a squeeze of the end rather than from a complicated technique. A cow elk’s call is characterized by a note that slides from high to low, and the Cow Girl is one of the easiest ways to make that sliding note consistently. Squeezing the end of the call adds realistic inflections and lets you control volume. Elk hunters who want a simple, dependable cow sound for the rut or for setting up a bull will find it a practical call to carry.
