The load pairs a 165-grain pointed soft point boat tail bullet with the .308 Winchester cartridge and sits in PPU’s Standard Rifle line, which the maker describes as designed especially for big game hunting. PPU lists a muzzle velocity of 2675 fps and 2621 ft-lbs of muzzle energy for this load, with a published ballistic coefficient of 0.439. The company has manufactured ammunition at its factory in Uzice, Serbia since 1928 and says it uses only the best quality components in its rifle cartridges.
