The Patriot Ordnance Factory Renegade+ Complete Upper in 5.56x45mm NATO (brand part number 00912) is a fully assembled 10.5-inch direct impingement upper built to address the common weak points of standard DI systems, sized for a short, fast-handling AR pistol or SBR-configured build. POF’s roller cam pin and patented heat sink barrel nut work with a straight gas tube to reduce heat buildup, while the Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block gives shooters ultimate control for tuning ammo loads or running a suppressor. This is an upper receiver assembly only, with no lower receiver included, so it is not itself a regulated firearm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this bare upper itself an NFA-regulated item? No. It is an upper receiver assembly with no lower receiver included, so it is not a regulated firearm on its own. Installing it on a shouldered, rifle-configured lower without a registered short-barreled rifle would require ATF Form 1 approval first.

What does the Dictator adjustable gas block do? It lets the shooter dial in gas flow for different ammo loads or when running a suppressor, useful on a short-barreled build where reliable cycling matters even more.

Is this a complete rifle? No, this is an upper receiver assembly only with no lower receiver included. It ships without an FFL transfer and needs a compatible AR-15 lower to complete a build.
