The Pietta 1858 Old West .44 revolver is a reproduction of the Remington Model 1858, one of the most powerful and rugged single-action revolvers of its day (Pietta part no. PF58OW448). This Old West version pairs an 8-inch octagonal barrel with an old silver finish on the frame, cylinder and barrel, a polished brass trigger guard and walnut grips. Like the original, it has an easily removable cylinder, so a spare cylinder can be swapped in for fast reloading. Pietta cuts the six-shot cylinder for .44 caliber. It suits cowboy action shooters, black powder enthusiasts and collectors who want the look of the Old West from a maker known for it, and the Pietta name carries that reputation.
