The Nosler Varmageddon .223 Remington 53gr Flat Base Tipped Ammunition brings Nosler varmint performance to the .223 Remington in a box of 20 rounds (Nosler part no. 65139). The 53-grain bullet pairs a lead-alloy core with a copper-alloy jacket and a flat-base design, which Nosler says expands violently on impact while delivering bench-rest accuracy. It rides in Nosler premium brass and is rated at 3350 fps and 1330 ft-lbs of energy from a 24-inch test barrel. Nosler created the Nosler Varmageddon line for the high-volume varmint shooter at an economical price. At 300 yards the published velocity is still 2420 fps, which gives a prairie or farm-field shooter a flat, fast load to work with.
