The Safariland 6395 ALS Low-Ride is a duty holster built around the Colt Government 1911, pairing a purpose-molded fit with a retention system officers can trust under stress (Safariland part no. 1160509). The Automatic Locking System (ALS) retains the pistol in every direction the instant it’s holstered, with no external strap for the officer to manage. Its low-ride belt loop sits 1.5 inches lower than a standard loop, dropping the pistol closer to the body for officers who prefer a lower ride height, and the shell is built from durable SafariLaminate. A suede lining protects the pistol’s sights and finish through thousands of draws. This is a purpose-built duty holster for officers who need Level I security without sacrificing draw speed.
