The MDT Field Stock for the Savage short action in FDE (brand part no. 105828-FDE) is a budget-friendly stock system that swaps a factory plastic stock for an overmolded polymer body over a 6061 aluminum core. A V-block aluminum bedding block holds the action and lets the barrel float, which tightens groups on a factory rifle. The traditional shape stays comfortable to carry and warm to the touch on cold mornings, while the adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers fit the stock to the shooter. The forend takes M-LOK accessories, so a sling and bipod mount without drama. It is a straightforward upgrade for a hunting or range rifle.

Key Specifications

• The inlet is the Savage short action, and the stock takes AICS pattern magazines.
• The color is FDE, a flat dark earth finish on the overmolded polymer body.
• The body is overmolded polymer over a 6061 aluminum core, so the stock is light but stiff.
• Length of pull adjusts from 13.5 to 14.5 inches through 1/4-inch spacers, and four spacers come with the stock.
• The adjustable cheek riser moves 1.37 inches, so the shooter’s head sits in the same place behind the scope each time.
• The forend has an M-LOK compatible pattern, and sling studs sit on the forend and buttstock.
• The maximum barrel diameter is 1.25 inches, which clears most hunting and varmint contours.
