The Magpul ZHUKOV-S folding stock in black is a side-folding, length-adjustable stock for the AK-pattern rifle (Magpul part no. MAG585-BLK). It attaches to most stamped AK receivers with a wedge block geometry, folds to the right so it does not block common left-side optic mounts, and allows the rifle to be charged and fired with the stock folded when the cheek riser is not installed. Five length-of-pull positions lock securely for a fixed-stock feel in use. An angled, anti-slip rubber butt-pad absorbs recoil, and optional QD sling sockets give several sling mounting options. It is made in the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AK rifles does the ZHUKOV-S fit? Magpul lists most stamped-receiver AK-47, AKM and AK-74 pattern rifles with a fixed stock and single tang trunnion. It is not compatible with Yugo pattern AKs, the Norinco Type 56S or MAK-90, or traditional milled-receiver rifles.

Will it need fitting? Magpul notes that, due to the wide range of tolerances on a typical AK, minor fitting of the stock may be required.

Can I fire the rifle with the stock folded? Yes. Magpul states the firearm can be charged and fired with the stock folded when the cheek riser is not installed.
