The Magpul DAKA GRID Organizer for the Pelican 1700 Protector and Eylar 38-inch cases turns a standard hard case into a reconfigurable, precision-fit storage system (Magpul part no. MAG1460BLK). It is built from lightweight expanded polypropylene (EPP), which does not absorb moisture or chemicals the way foam does. Panels and blocks nest together and use compression to hold rifles, optics and gear in place. That keeps equipment from shifting and softens impacts during transport. It is also useful for cameras, tools and other equipment, not just firearms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need any trimming? Magpul designs it for drop-in installation in the Pelican 1700 Protector and Eylar 38-inch cases. Because case designs vary slightly over time, some older Pelican 1700 cases may require minor trimming of the panels for fit.

Can I reconfigure the layout? Yes. The GRID panels and blocks interlock and rearrange without tools, so you can change the layout for each trip.

What is it made of? Expanded polypropylene (EPP), which resists absorbing liquids and chemicals and cleans with a damp cloth.
