Magpul designs the core as a self-contained unit, and it’s water-resistant, so batteries stay dry and ready even if the rifle gets wet. An included internal spacer lets you store AAA or N-size batteries instead, the N-size commonly used in EOTech sights, so the same core covers more than one battery format.
