The Luth-AR Assembled Slick-Side A1 Upper Receiver (Luth-AR part no. UR-01-E3-SA) is a .223 Remington/5.56 NATO upper machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings to final dimensions, finished in black hardcoat anodize. Luth-AR ships this version assembled, with the A1 rear sight and ejection port cover door already installed, correcting the early-style carry handle contours for a period-accurate look. As a Slick-Side design, it skips the shell deflector and forward assist found on later AR-15 uppers, and it does not carry M4-type feed ramps, keeping it true to the original AR-15/M16 profile rather than a current-production flattop.
