The LaserMax Centerfire green laser (part no. GSSHIELDG) is built to fit the Smith & Wesson Shield in 9mm and .40, activating through LaserMax’s GripSense technology, made by LaserMax. GripSense senses the pressure of a normal firing grip and turns the 5mW green laser on automatically, then shuts it back off a few seconds after you let go, so the battery isn’t running unattended in a pocket or holster.
