The KonusPro 3-9x50mm rifle scope is a second focal plane hunting optic with a 50mm objective, an engraved 30/30 duplex reticle and a matte black finish (Konus part no. 7265). KonusPro reticles are etched into multi-coated optical glass instead of printed on it, a construction usually reserved for military and tactical scopes because it resists breakage and misalignment. The 3-9x zoom covers close woods shots and longer field shots with one scope, and the 50mm objective gathers light for dawn and dusk hunts. At 14 inches long and 17.6 ounces it stays light enough for a general-purpose hunting rifle.

Key Specifications

• Magnification is 3-9x, a wide zoom range that lets you run low power up close and dial up for longer shots.
• The objective lens measures 50mm, which gathers extra light for dawn and dusk shooting.
• The reticle is an engraved 30/30 duplex etched into the glass, which keeps it from breaking or shifting under hard use.
• The scope is a second focal plane design, so the reticle holds the same apparent size as you change magnification.
• Field of view measures 38 to 12.5 feet at 100 yards, narrowing as you zoom in.
• Eye relief is 3 inches, enough distance from the ocular lens to keep the scope clear of your brow under recoil.
• Adjustments are 1/4 MOA per click, a fine increment for dialing in your zero.
• The finish is matte black, which cuts glare and blends with most hunting rifles.
• Overall length is 14 inches, a size that mounts comfortably on most sporting rifles.
• Weight is 17.6 ounces, light enough that it will not make a hunting rifle top-heavy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the reticle etched or printed? It is engraved on the glass itself. KonusPro etches its 30/30 duplex reticle into multi-coated optical glass, which the maker says removes the chance of breaking or misalignment.

What is the field of view on this scope? The field of view is 38 to 12.5 feet at 100 yards across the 3-9x zoom range, wider at 3x and narrower at 9x.

Is this a first or second focal plane scope? It is a second focal plane scope, so the 30/30 duplex reticle stays the same size as you change power.
