The KNS Precision Discarder is an adjustable gas system for the FN SCAR that lets you slow the bolt carrier and soften recoil instead of living with an over-gassed rifle (brand part no. DISCARDER-FN Scar). KNS Precision designs it with no internal moving parts, tool-less installation and tool-less adjustment. It offers 13 positions with a tactile detent and laser-marked settings, plus three additional jet inserts and a tool for range-quality ammunition. The finish is nitride and nickel boron to prevent corrosion, and the compact size allows suppressed use on short factory barrels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which SCAR models does the Discarder fit? KNS Precision lists it as working across all known models, calibers and barrel lengths except the SCAR 15P and the Gen 3 SCAR.

What does it do for recoil? It reduces the speed of the bolt carrier, which KNS says reduces user-felt recoil and muzzle rise and extends the lifespan of the host weapon.

Does it need tools to install or adjust? No. KNS describes both installation and adjustment as tool-less, and the jet inserts and tool in the box are for swapping inserts to suit range-quality ammunition.
