The Kimber CDS9 Boot Campaign 9mm pistol (brand part no. 3700908) is Kimber‘s Boot Campaign edition of its CDS9 carry gun, a compact double-stack built around a 3.18-inch stainless barrel and an aluminum frame. Kimber lists the CDS9 at 21.44 ounces with an empty magazine, 6.2 inches long and 1.1 inches wide, with a magazine capacity of 15 rounds. The stainless slide wears a diamond-like coating and carries a red-dot front sight with a rear cover plate over the optic cut, so it runs irons out of the box and takes a dot when you are ready. A dual recoil spring tames the short slide, the aluminum frame is finished in KimPro II with front-strap checkering and an accessory rail, and the thumb safety is ambidextrous. For a carry shooter who wants Kimber build quality in a modern optic-ready double-stack, the Boot Campaign CDS9 delivers it.
