The KelTec SUB2000 CQB is an integrally suppressed 9mm carbine that still folds in half like a standard SUB2000 (brand part no. SUB2K9GLKBLKCQB). KelTec makes the barrel and suppressor as one unit in-house, with the baffles shrouded by a rotating hand guard and held by a removable end cap. The baffled barrel is 16.2 inches overall with 4.25 inches of rifling, so it is not a short-barreled rifle. KelTec calls it very quiet with subsonic ammunition, and integrated Picatinny rails take the light and optic it recommends for home defense. Folded, the carbine measures 16.25 inches and fits in a pack or under a vehicle seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it still fold with an optic mounted? Yes. Pull up on the locking tab, rotate the hand guard 90 degrees, then fold it like any SUB2000.

Can the suppressor be cleaned? Yes. The baffles sit under the rotating hand guard and are locked in by a removable end cap, so they come out for cleaning and go back together easily.

Do I need ATF approval to buy this? No. As of October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires Form 4 approval, registration or a tax stamp for suppressors. It transfers on a Form 4473 with a background check through a Class 3 (SOT) dealer. State and local laws still apply.
