The Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comp in black with 11/16×24 threads (Kaw Valley Precision part no. BLKLINEAR1116X24TPI) is the version the maker lists for the .450 Bushmaster. Kaw Valley Precision designs the Linear Comp to collect and redirect muzzle gas downrange, which lowers the perceived decibels at the shooter and eases the concussion felt by anyone standing nearby. Kaw Valley says the effect is most noticeable on AR-15 pistols and short-barreled builds with a harsh muzzle blast. It installs without a crush washer, with the option to index it using a crush washer or other timing device.
