The Trijicon Huron 3-9×40 Riflescope, Standard Duplex, Satin Black is a lightweight second focal plane hunting scope built around fully multi-coated, broadband anti-reflective glass (Trijicon part no. HR940-C-2700005). It is the lightest model in the Huron line, which suits a whitetail rifle that gets carried more than it gets shot. The Standard Duplex crosshair keeps the picture uncluttered, and capped adjusters keep a bump from shifting your zero. A 40mm objective and a 1-inch tube make it a straightforward fit for standard rings.

Key Specifications

• Magnification runs 3-9x, a range that covers close timber shots and longer field shots with one scope.
• The objective lens is 40mm, which gathers enough light for dawn and dusk hunting without a heavy front end.
• The tube diameter is 1 inch, so it mounts in common 1-inch rings.
• The reticle is a Standard Duplex crosshair in black, a proven pattern that is quick to pick up.
• The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so it stays the same apparent size as you change magnification.
• Adjustments are 1/4 MOA per click with 40 MOA total travel, and the capped adjusters need no tools to set.
• Eye relief is 2.5 to 3.7 inches, giving a forgiving window behind the glass.
• The field of view is 33.8 to 11.3 feet at 100 yards, wide at low power for fast target pickup.
• The housing is 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum in a satin black finish with hunter knurling on the controls.
• The scope weighs 15.8 ounces at 12.23 inches long and is rated to a 10-foot submersion depth.
