Hornady DGS Dangerous Game Solid bullets in .505 caliber, 525 grain (brand part no. 5051), are built for handloaders who chase the biggest and most dangerous game on the planet and need a projectile that holds together no matter what it hits. The DGS profile features a wide, flat nose that delivers maximum energy on impact while resisting deformation and deflection as it drives through thick hide, dense muscle, and hard bone. A very hard, high-antimony lead core wrapped in a copper-clad steel jacket keeps the bullet’s shape and weight intact through deep penetration, which is exactly what a dangerous-game solid needs to do.
