The Hornady XTP .44 Cal 240 gr Hollow Point (Hornady part no. 44200) is built for hunting, self-defense, and law enforcement use in .430-inch handgun cartridges. The XTP’s controlled expansion opens the hollow point to roughly 1.5 times its original diameter across a wide range of impact velocities, and a heavier jacket than Hornady uses on lighter-duty bullets lets it stand up to the pressures and velocities generated by top-performing handgun loads. It’s the profile that led a number of competitive shooters to adopt the XTP for its accuracy as well as its terminal performance.
