The Hornady ELD Match 6.5mm 100gr bullet is a technologically advanced target bullet from Hornady (brand part no. 26100) built for enhanced accuracy and extreme consistency from bullet to bullet, lot to lot. ELD Match bullets feature a Heat Shield tip with the ideal meplat, or tip point, combined with numerous design features that deliver the highest-in-class ballistic coefficients. An optimum secant ogive and boat-tail design pairs with that Heat Shield tip to produce a bullet with the highest possible ballistic coefficient in its class, and the tip itself is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating, retaining its shape so every bullet keeps a perfect, identical meplat.

Key Specifications

• This bullet is sized to 6.5mm, matched to that rifle cartridge family.
• At 100 grains, it’s built for long-range precision and target work.
• Bullets ship 100 to a box, enough for serious load development.
• This is an ELD Match (Extremely Low Drag Match) bullet, Hornady’s precision target line.
• The Heat Shield polymer tip resists aerodynamic heating and keeps a consistent meplat shape.
• An optimum secant ogive and boat-tail design produces the highest ballistic coefficient in its class.
• The tip’s heat resistance delivers bullet-to-bullet, lot-to-lot consistency other polymer tips can’t match.
• This design is built for the highest-in-class ballistic coefficient among comparable bullets.
• The Heat Shield tip always retains its shape, giving a perfect, repeatable meplat point.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Heat Shield tip different from a standard polymer tip? It resists the effects of aerodynamic heating in flight, so it retains its shape and keeps a consistent meplat instead of deforming like typical polymer tips can at high velocity.

What is this bullet designed for? It’s a match-grade target bullet built for enhanced accuracy and extreme consistency, ideal for long-range precision shooting.

How many bullets come in a box? Each box holds 100 ELD Match bullets.
