The Horizon Firearms Venatic Carbon 2 is a 7mm BC bolt-action rifle built around a 16.5-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel finished in SOCOM Black for hunters who want the Venatic’s field performance in a shorter, lighter package (brand part no. HRF-VCA-7MBC-16R). Horizon Firearms pairs that carbon fiber barrel with the polished Stiller Wombat action, an Iota EKO carbon fiber stock finished in Ember Drift, and a Horizon ARCA rail forend for mounting a bipod or tripod adapter without an aftermarket bracket. A Rough Diamond trigger and Horizon flush-fit magazine round out a rifle built to be carried into the backcountry without weighing a hunter down. The shorter carbon barrel trades a small amount of velocity for meaningfully less weight and better handling in tight cover.
