The Henry Single Shot Shotgun in 12 gauge is a break-top field gun with a 28-inch blued steel barrel and a 3.5-inch chamber (Henry part no. H015-12). It wears an American walnut stock with a pistol-grip wrist and a black rubber recoil pad, and it carries a brass bead front sight on a drilled and tapped receiver. Henry builds it with a rebounding external hammer and a locking lever that blocks hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled, and it has no manual safety. It is a dependable, no-frills choice for a first shotgun, a rabbit gun or a farm gun.
