The Geissele SD-3G trigger, the Super Dynamic 3 Gun (Geissele part no. 05-166), is the flat trigger bow version of the Geissele Super 3 Gun, or S3G. It has a shortened pull length and a lightning-quick reset, a hybrid feel that sits between a traditional two-stage and a single-stage trigger while keeping the safety and robustness of a two-stage combat trigger. The flat bow reduces perceived pull weight and improves tactile feedback to the shooter. Geissele Automatics built it for close course competition, where rapid target engagement and quick follow-up shots matter most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SD-3G a good duty or precision trigger? Geissele says no. The SD-3G has a very short, light pull and reset, and Geissele does not recommend it for duty use, bench rest, accuracy work or shooting small groups. It is designed for close course competition.

What is the difference between the SD-3G and the S3G? The SD-3G is the flat trigger bow version of the Super 3 Gun. Both have a shortened pull length and a very quick reset.

Will it fit a Sig MPX/MCX or a pistol caliber carbine AR? No. Geissele designs its AR15 triggers for mil-spec AR15/M4 carbine rifles and says they are not compatible with the Sig MPX/MCX or with pistol caliber carbine AR15/M4 variants, and that using them in those platforms voids the warranty.
