The FosTech Havoc 2.0 Ambidextrous AR-15 Charging Handle in black (brand part no. FOS2511BLK) lets you charge the rifle from either side. FosTech machined it from 7075-T6 aluminum, with oversized, textured latches that work with gloves and set-back latches that clear large optics. Relief cuts on the stem and a taller rear shelf redirect gas away from the shooter, which helps most when running suppressed. It drops into a mil-spec AR-15 or M16 with no gunsmithing.

Key Specifications

• The material is 7075-T6 aluminum for the body and latches, a strong aerospace alloy.
• The finish is black Type III hard-coat anodize, a durable coating.
• The latches are oversized and ambidextrous, so you can charge from either side, even with gloves.
• The handle is 2.78 inches wide across the latches.
• The latches are set back, which keeps them clear of large optics.
• Relief cuts and a taller rear shelf direct gas away from the shooter’s face, which matters most when running suppressed.
• The weight is just under one ounce, so it adds almost nothing to the upper.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it fit? The Havoc 2.0 fits mil-spec AR-15 and M16 rifles as a direct replacement for the factory charging handle, with no gunsmithing required.

Is it only for left-handed or right-handed shooters? Neither. The oversized release latches are on both sides, so right-handed and left-handed shooters both get a larger grip point, and one-handed manipulation is possible.

Does the Havoc 2.0 help with gas in the face? FosTech designed the 2.0 with relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem and a taller rear shelf to direct gas out the sides and away from you, especially when suppressed.
