Safe Mode blocks the firearm from firing, Semi-Automatic Mode fires once per trigger pull, and Echo Mode fires once on trigger pull and again on trigger release. Because AK-pattern rifles and pistols vary in internal tolerances between manufacturers, FosTech notes that milled-receiver AKs may need minor adjustment to the mode selector plate or trigger blade, though a number of milled models have tested compatible out of the box.
