The EGW HD Howa 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard Long Action Picatinny Scope Base, 20 MOA (EGW part no. 81052) is the canted version of EGW’s heavy-duty long action rail. The 20 MOA of built-in elevation gives a scope extra upward travel for shooting from 500 to 1,000 yards. EGW lists it for the Howa 1500, Weatherby Vanguard and Smith and Wesson 1500 long actions, and says it will not fit the Howa 1500 Superlite. It is machined from solid 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum in matte black hardcoat.

Key Specifications

• The mount is made for the Howa 1500 long action, Weatherby Vanguard long action and Smith and Wesson 1500 long action, so it matches that receiver instead of a generic pattern.
• Built-in elevation is 20 MOA, which sets how the optic sits relative to the bore.
• It is machined from solid 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which keeps the mount strong without adding bulk.
• The finish is matte black hardcoat, a coating that protects the aluminum from scratches and wear.
• Center spread is 4.485 inches, the distance between the two middle mounting holes.
• Overall length is 7.064 inches, which sets how much rail is available for ring placement.
• Height is 0.35 inch from the top of the receiver to the top of the Picatinny rail.
• Quick-disconnect rings are compatible, if you want to remove the optic and return to zero.
• The mount is ambidextrous, with the same profile on both sides of the receiver.
• Included mounting hardware is #6-48 x 1/4 screws and a T-10 bit, so installation needs nothing extra.
