The Kershaw Emerson E-Train Wave-Opening Training Knife (Kershaw part no. 6034TRAINER) lets users practice the patented Emerson Wave opening technique without needing a working edge for daily carry. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade catches on the pocket seam as the knife is drawn, opening the blade automatically during the draw stroke. This instant-open technique is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users who train to access a blade quickly under stress. The E-Train gives users a safe way to build muscle memory for that draw-and-open motion.
