The DeSantis Mean Streak (brand part no. 220LA5WZ0) is an inside-the-waistband Kydex holster built for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9/40, molded from durable .080-inch gray Kydex into a slim, rigid shell that holds its shape carry after carry. DeSantis pairs an integral sweat guard with an integrated Claw that levers the grip of the gun tight against the body for genuinely deep concealment, and the shell is cut RMR-compatible so a red-dot-equipped Shield still seats and draws cleanly. It’s built for everyday appendix or strong-side carry, right-hand draw, for shooters who want a minimalist, no-give shell instead of a floppy nylon pocket.

Key Specifications

• Molded specifically for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9/40, so retention and draw angle are dialed in for that exact frame.
• Built from .080-inch gray Kydex, a rigid thermoplastic shell that resists collapsing after the gun is drawn.
• Integral sweat guard keeps the slide and muzzle off the body for comfort during all-day wear.
• Integrated Claw attachment drives the grip of the pistol tight against the body for a deeper, flatter concealed profile.
• RMR-compatible cut lets a red-dot-equipped Shield holster and draw without the optic catching the mouth.
• Right-hand draw orientation, worn inside the waistband appendix or strong side.
• Belt-clip mount rides low and tucks the holster tight to the belt line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit a red-dot-equipped M&P Shield? Yes, the Mean Streak is RMR-compatible, so a Shield wearing a compact red dot still seats and draws cleanly.

Is the Claw feature adjustable? The Claw is a fixed, integrated attachment that pushes the grip into the body for deeper concealment; it isn’t a separate add-on you configure.

What carry positions does it work for? Most owners run it appendix or strong-side IWB; the belt clip and sweat guard are built around that kind of daily concealed carry.
