This Daniel Defense DD4 RIII in FDE is the flat dark earth version of the maker’s light 5.56 NATO AR-15 (Daniel Defense part no. 02-191-03270-047). Underneath it is the same light AR-15: a 16-inch cold hammer forged government-profile barrel, a mid-length direct impingement gas system and a 12.5-inch RIS III rail with M-LOK attachment. The lower is fully ambidextrous, so left- and right-handed shooters get the same control layout. Daniel Defense includes its own buttstock and pistol grip and ships the rifle with one DD Magazine and a hard case. It suits a range build, a home defense rifle or a carbine class setup.
