The Colt 1911 Government .38 Super Engraved Pistol (brand part no. O1911C-38Z) brings Colt’s engraving program to the original 1911 Government platform, chambered in the high-velocity .38 Super cartridge. Colt has built the 1911 since 1911, and this blued, engraved variant pairs that century-plus of heritage with a distinctive finish for collectors and shooters who want a 1911 that stands out. The .38 Super offers flatter trajectory and higher velocity than .45 ACP while still cycling reliably in the full-size Government frame. A 9+1 capacity gives this Colt a useful reserve for a single-stack 1911.
