The Charter Arms Pathfinder .22 LR with rosewood grips is a low-recoil, eight-shot revolver with a 4.2-inch barrel (brand part no. 72243). Charter Arms builds it on an aluminum frame with a stainless finish, a fixed front sight and an adjustable rear. It has the look and feel of a larger-caliber revolver while shooting inexpensive .22 ammunition, which makes it a good first revolver and a relaxed range gun. The spurred hammer, three-point cylinder lock-up and hammer block round out a simple, solid design.
