The Charter Arms Boomer .44 Special is a compact five-shot revolver built for concealed carry and close-range defense (Charter Arms part no. 74459). Charter chambers the Boomer in .44 Special, a big-bore round that has long been a favorite in short-barrel revolvers. The 2-inch stainless steel barrel keeps the revolver short enough to carry in a pocket or holster, and the double-action-only action means each shot starts with a long, deliberate trigger pull. It is a straightforward, no-frills revolver for carry or the nightstand.
