Carlson’s machines it from 17-4 heat-treated stainless steel and finishes it with a blued, non-reflective coating so it doesn’t flash or catch light on a spring hunt, and a 25% longer parallel section over a factory choke helps produce very tight, dense patterns on a gobbler’s head and neck. The knurled end lets it thread in and out by hand, and it’s designed to shoot all lead and Hevi-Shot turkey loads. It should not be used with steel shot.
