The Browning BT-99 12 gauge (brand part no. 017054402) is the classic single-shot break-action trap gun, here with a 32-inch satin blued barrel and a conventional satin black walnut stock. The BT-99 has been a trap shooter’s single for decades because it puts one long barrel, a solid rib and a stock built for a high, steady cheek weld into a gun that stays predictable from the first target to the last. This version has a 2-3/4-inch chamber, an extractor-only action and an ivory bead front sight, and it weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces. It is a fixed-stock gun, so a shooter who already fits a conventional trap stock gets a simple, durable single without the extra hardware of an adjustable comb. For handicap and singles trap, it is a traditional and still-competitive choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the stock adjustable? No. This is the conventional fixed-stock version; Browning lists a separate BT-99 with an adjustable comb and buttplate.
