The Barnett Outdoors Hyper Raptor GTX 425 crossbow with the BUK OPS X-Factor scope (brand part no. BAR78283) is an ultra-compact hunting crossbow that launches small-diameter HyperFlite arrows at up to 425 feet per second. That speed carries 152 foot-pounds of energy, and the included 20-inch, .204-diameter arrows give over 25 percent deeper penetration than standard-diameter arrows. It measures just over seven inches axle to axle when cocked, with a composite riser and pivoting limb pockets that cut front-end weight and reduce recoil and vibration. Barnett’s Halo System removes cable crossing and cam lean for consistent string travel, and the TriggerTech trigger breaks at a crisp 3 pounds. For a bowhunter who wants speed in tight cover, it packs a lot of capability into a short, light platform.
