The Barnes Tipped TSX 6mm .243 80gr Boat Tail Bullet (brand part no. 30208) adds a polymer tip to the TSX design from Barnes. Barnes says the tip boosts the ballistic coefficient and initiates expansion, while a re-engineered nose cavity gives faster expansion and strong terminal performance. This 80-grain version measures .243 inch with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .331. It is a big game hunting bullet, sold 50 to a box.

Key Specifications

• Caliber is 6mm, the designation to match to your cartridge before you load.
• Bullet diameter is .243 inch per the maker, the figure to check against your barrel and seating die.
• Bullet weight is 80 grains, which sets the starting point for your powder charge and load development.
• The profile is a boat tail, a tapered base that trims drag.
• A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient and starts expansion, with a re-engineered nose cavity for faster opening.
• Barnes classes it for hunting, with big game as the pursuit.
• Each box holds 50 bullets, so one box covers load development before you commit to a larger supply.
• The G1 ballistic coefficient is .331, the figure to enter in a ballistic solver when planning drop and wind drift.
• Sectional density is .194, a weight-to-diameter measure that relates to how deeply the bullet can penetrate.
• Overall bullet length is 1.081 inch, the dimension that drives seating depth and magazine fit.
