Decades of duty-holster feedback shaped the Safariland Ballast, especially its crush-resistant shell, which shields its internal components from the daily bumps and drops of patrol work (Safariland part no. 1337823). Safariland’s Ingress Guard further protects the trigger inside the holster from debris, and a minimalist footprint maximizes duty-belt space so officers can carry a full-sized firearm without sacrificing room for other gear. An internalized ALS lever lock spring shields the core security mechanism, while the textured ALS lever itself improves thumb contact for a fast, reliable release. A redesigned cantable UBL belt mount rounds out the package, supporting 15 degrees of forward or rearward angle, or straight vertical alignment, for whatever ride height and draw angle a shift calls for.
