The Allen Axial Shooting Stick (Allen part no. 21410) is a lightweight aluminum monopod built for hunters who need a steady rest without hauling a full tripod into a blind or across the prairie. Made by Allen Company, it collapses down small enough to strap to a backpack and extends out to a full 61 inches for standing shots from a ground blind or over tall grass. The removable rifle cradle swaps out for cameras, spotting scopes, or other optics using a standard 3/8-16 thread, making this stick as useful for glassing as it is for taking the shot.
Can it be used for something other than a rifle rest? Yes, the cradle is removable and the mount uses a standard 3/8-16 thread, so cameras and spotting scopes fit as well.
How compact does it get for travel? Collapsed, it comes down to roughly 32 inches, short enough to lash to most hunting packs.
What’s it best suited for? Ground blind and prairie hunting where a fixed bench isn’t an option and you need a quick, steady standing rest.

Long shots across open ground or out of a ground blind demand a rock-solid rest, and the Axial delivers that in a package light enough to carry all day. Swap between a rifle cradle and optics mount as the situation changes, then collapse it down and move to the next spot. Order it from our Lubbock, Texas gun shop for fast, direct shipping.
