The Pietta Great Western II Alchimista III .357 Magnum revolver with a 5.5-inch octagonal barrel and no manual safety (Pietta part no. HF357ALO512NMCW) takes the Alchimista II and adds an octagon barrel. Pietta builds the line in Brescia, Italy, with a competition trigger that is wider and set back, a lower and wider hammer and the longer, slimmer 1860 Army grip frame. The octagonal blued barrel and cylinder sit against a case-hardened frame with checkered walnut grips. It is a dressed-up single-action six-shooter for cowboy action shooters and collectors who like the old-time octagon profile.
