The JK Armament HD Bald Eagle Compensator in .30 cal with 5/8×24 TPI threads (brand part no. JKMDHDBE24) is a compact, lightweight muzzle device that reduces recoil and flash and gives a JK Armament suppressor with the Quick Attach Taper Mount a QD mounting point. Its symmetrical design means the Bald Eagle never has to be timed, which keeps installation quick. Machined from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel with a black nitride coating, it also acts as the initial blast baffle inside the suppressor, which JK says extends the suppressor’s service life. It fits the rifle that runs both with and without a can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to time the HD Bald Eagle? No. The symmetrical design means it does not need to be timed, so installation is a matter of threading it on and torquing it.

What torque does JK Armament recommend? JK recommends 35 ft-lbs. The compensator has wrench flats at the front and rear for installation and removal.

Does it work on a rifle without a suppressor? Yes. It is a recoil-reducing muzzle device on its own, and it becomes the QD mount and first blast baffle when a compatible JK suppressor goes on.
