Description
The Angstadt Arms Reticent 22 suppressor is a sealed rimfire can printed entirely from Grade 5 titanium (brand part no. AARET02228). Angstadt Arms calls it the quietest and lightest full-size .22 LR suppressor, at 2.5 ounces in a body 5 inches long and 1 inch across. Direct metal laser sintering builds the can, and an Armor Black C-Series high-temperature Cerakote finish covers the titanium. It threads straight onto a 1/2×28 muzzle, so it suits the threaded rimfire rifles and pistols most shooters already own. For a dedicated .22 can that adds almost nothing to the front of the gun, the Reticent 22 is an easy one to live with.
Key Specifications
- The caliber rating is .22 LR, so this can is built for rimfire hosts in that cartridge.
- Length is 5 inches, a full-size rimfire can that still keeps a rifle or pistol compact.
- Weight is 2.5 ounces, light enough that it barely changes how a host balances.
- Diameter is 1 inch, a slim profile for small rimfire rifles and pistols.
- The body is Grade 5 titanium, which Angstadt Arms says has a strength-to-weight ratio 50 percent stronger than steel.
- It is made by direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), an additive process that produces internal shapes machining cannot.
- The finish is Armor Black C-Series High Temp Cerakote, a coating made to hold up to suppressor heat.
- The mount is 1/2×28 direct thread only, the standard thread on most threaded .22 LR barrels.
- The lowest recorded shot in Angstadt Arms testing is 113.4 dB on a bolt-action rimfire with standard ammunition.
- It is not full-auto rated, so it belongs on semi-auto and bolt-action rimfire hosts.
